The academic curriculum at Saints Philip and James, which strives to educate the whole child, is directed by the guidelines offered by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Office of Catholic Education together with the instructional guides of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Using these guidelines, each teacher develops lessons to meet the needs of the whole student.  The faculty uses a variety of teaching methods and instructional tools to meet the learning styles of all students.

An accelerated mathematics program is offered to those students, beginning in Grade 5, who meet the criteria established by the Archdiocese for Math Honors. In addition to the academic curriculum, classes are offered in Computer Applications, Library, Physical Education, Music, and Art.
